Multi-layer rendering, the first primary enhancement, uses a new class of shaders to direct Camera to generate layered Photoshop PSD files, revised depth of field IMG files and Rich Pixel Format (RPF) files for images containing alpha, z-depth, and other channel information, thus replacing EIAS’ older EIZ file format. This is a welcomed addition that broadcast designers and visual effects production houses have been desperately waiting for and will surely take into their workflows without delay.

The use of these simulations means you can practise for a very long time without hurting anyone. The patient would be scanned and the CT scan is used to produce a 3D mesh. That can be used in the same hospital or in any corner of the globe. The surgeon can be trained. Minimizing X-Ray time, refining performance, saving lives.

Danté's Inferno was brought to life by Electronic Arts and set free here today at VIEW.


The question was poised here at VIEW by Jonathan Knight, Executive Producer at EA's Visceral Games Studio: Is Danté Alighieri laughing or rolling in his grave? What reaction would the luminary have to EA's adaption of part one of The Divine Comedy? The action/advernture game is based on the pages of this masterpiece, and Jonathan is adamant is looks pretty good for 700 years old.

've mostly been doing work for my book lately, but at the side, I'm doing designs for a roleplaying games campaign I'm doing for my friends and me. We're just going to have tons of fun and play, the setting being London in the end of the nineteenth century and the game system being Call of Cthulhu.

The mission for 'Secret Agent', the 24th CGChallenge, was to depict characters and events involving espionage, gadgets, guns and evil geniuses, via a still image or video. The field of almost 1,200 undercover artists who took up the challenge did not disappoint.
