MMO：網路遊戲，又叫在線遊戲（Online game），一般指多名玩家通過計算機網路互動娛樂的視頻遊戲。有戰略遊戲、動作遊戲、體育遊戲、格鬥遊戲、音樂遊戲、競速遊戲、網頁遊戲和角色扮演遊戲等多種類型，不過也有少數在線單人遊戲。

Starting with the MMO releases, we have 'Aion', by NCsoft. 'Aion' will be released in September 2009 and is quite similar to 'World of Warcraft' in a lot of ways: you have classes to choose from and you can upgrade as you level up. The company also offers a pretty robust character creating system, but what's new about this game is that characters can fly after they reach level 10, and have quests and combat in the air.This required NCsoft to use an engine that was strong enough, powerful enough and flexible enough to manage all the combats they have in the air. They ended up using Crytek 1.9, an engine made for a third person shooter, although 'Aion' is an MMO.The concept art has a fantasy world look, with some characters who seemed like they had some inspiration coming from the 'Lord of the Rings' and others who felt like they were inspired by mythological creatures. The environments are very beautiful and have a kind of Celtic feel to them.
